One of the things that medical students excel at is having the ambition and drive to get involved, down and dirty, and diving head first into opportunities to make a difference and see something new. The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a fully-independent, student-governed, non-profit organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training in our nation. With more than a half-century history of medical student activism and over 68,000 members, AMSA is the oldest and largest association of physicians-in-training in the United States.

"It takes more than a medical school to make a physician."

Yes! Yes it does.

That's where the AMSA Chapter at Windsor University School of Medicine (WUSM) comes into play. We are responsible for promoting student interest in the medical field through educational conferences and seminars, as well as through community outreach programs. AMSA at WUSM strives to provide volunteer opportunities within the community to effectively prepare students to become the future physicians of tomorrow while allowing students to gain clinical experience.
